the perfect ‘indoor’ shoe 5/5 STARS
Sizing: Feels half size too small

Pros: Fast, Good Traction, Breathable, Lightweight, Comfortable
Best Uses: Gym
Describe Yourself: Avid Athlete
I do various workouts 6 days a week and these shoes apply to 3 of my 6 workouts. These shoes are PERFECT for my weight lifting sessions, sprints, interval training, box jumps, elliptical, biking/spin and crossfit. Why? They are SUPER light. Cannot stress this enough. I own pairs 2 running shoes, 2 trail runners, 2 pairs for basketball ball shoes. I admit I am a freak when it comes to shoes. I want the perfect fit. These are by far the lightest and my favorite of the bunch.
I typically wear a size 11.5, ordered a 12 and turned out to be a great decision. These fit your forefoot like a glove, i am confident 11.5 would’ve been too small because the 12 is snug.
No real cons as long as you use it for its intended use. I researched the hell out of this shoe and got tons of info on it. IT IS NOT MADE FOR LONG RUNS. It has very little if any cushioning. I know there are athletic freaks out there who would rather run barefoot for miles (I envy you) and don’t require/want cushioning. You are the exception but this is the closest you can get.
One gripe I have about the shoes – laces are WAY too long.
It is not an ‘all around’ running shoe. And in that sense, it is not for a beginner. But if you use it for what it’s designed for, in the words of vince vaughn “so money.”

Vasque Aether Tech Review

Definitely buying another pair soon! 5/5 STARS

It baffles me that NO ONE has reviewed these Vasque Aether Tech shoes!
About me – fitness junkie, I bike, run, lift, trail run, hike, play baskeball, and anything in between every week. I use these for day hikes but primarily for trail running every weekend in sunny San Diego – from sandy beaches to technical rocky terrain in the desert.
FIT – I originally ordered a 12 in the Vasque Aether Techs, too big. Got a 11.5 and fits well. The BOA system is GREAT! Seriously, BOA lacing should be more popular! Tightens the shoe to perfection. The shoe grabs a hold of my heel and my midfoot with the most secure, snug, and non-suffocating feel. The toe box, on the other hand, took some getting used to. Roomy, roomy, roomy. The other pair of trail runners I own(cascadia4) and my road running shoes (adidas supernova)are not as roomy and are the same 11.5 size. I like 1/2 – 3/4 inch of space between by big toe and front of the shoe which is the case in these Vasque Aether Techs but the overall feel is incredibly roomier, wider than expected.
PERFORMANCE – decided to take them on the field to see if the roomy toebox will bother me. happy to report, not an issue at all. I went on a 3 hour trail running trek through water, wet rocks, mountain-rocky hills, 12% incline on a rocky mountain side(and running back down the same incline) in a day’s work. Freakin’ LOVE THESE SHOES. My heel never slipped. I thought my foot would definitely move around due to the roomy toe box but it did not. Guess I am used to fitted toe boxes. Running down hill on gravel at a 12% decline, I definitely appreciated the extra half inch or so of toe space in the box.
BONUS – early on during my run (within the first 15 mins) I had to cross creeks. My feel were ankle deep in running water and got soaked. Did not bother me at all, no slushing, water left as soon as it came in and the shoes dried quickly. I was wearing synthetic running socks and no blisters whatsoever.
OVERALL – waiting on the next coupon to buy another pair!
